Welcome to Family Unit. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of familyunit.shop (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from us. Family Unit (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this Site from California, United States.
By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site after that means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above tells you when we last made changes.
You must be at least the age of majority in your state or country of residence to place an order. If you are a minor, you may only use the Site with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree not to use the Site or our products for any unlawful purpose, not to violate any laws in your jurisdiction, and not to transmit any malicious code or interfere with the security or operation of the Site.
We sell apparel and related goods. We do our best to display product colors, images, and descriptions accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen will show colors exactly as they appear in person. Slight variation in color, fit, and finish is normal for the garments we sell.
Product availability is limited and subject to change. We may discontinue any product, limit the quantity available to any customer, and restrict sales to any person or geographic region, at our discretion.
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice.
We try to keep the Site accurate, but errors happen. Product descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping costs, and availability may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or cancel an order if any information was inaccurate — including after you have placed the order and we have charged you. If we cancel an order for this reason, we will refund you in full.
We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, and to limit or prohibit orders that appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors, or that we suspect to be fraudulent. If we cancel or change an order, we will try to contact you using the email address or phone number you provided.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase information when you order.
We accept payment through the methods shown at checkout, which currently include credit and debit cards (processed by Stripe), PayPal, and Zelle. Payment information is handled by our payment processors, not stored by us. Your order is not confirmed until payment is successfully authorized.
We ship within the United States and internationally. Shipping timeframes shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or events outside our control. Local pickup is available in Los Angeles where offered at checkout.
If you are ordering from outside the United States, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, or other fees charged by your country. These are not included in the price you pay us and are not within our control. We cannot predict what these charges will be. If a package is refused or returned to us because you did not pay these charges, any refund will exclude the shipping cost we incurred.
Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier takes possession of your order.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with tags attached.
Items marked “Final Sale” cannot be returned or exchanged. This is clearly indicated on the product page before you purchase.
For full details on how to start a return, refund timing, and who pays return shipping, please see our Returns & Exchanges page, which forms part of these Terms.
If you sign up for our newsletter, you consent to receive marketing emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We do not currently operate an SMS or text-message marketing program.
All content on the Site — including our name, logo, designs, product artwork, photography, graphics, and text — is owned by Family Unit or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, copy, sell, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Site or our designs without our written permission.
You may not use our garment designs or artwork to produce your own merchandise.
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or other feedback, you agree that we may use it without restriction, without compensating you, and without any obligation to keep it confidential. We are not obligated to respond to or act on feedback.
The Site may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party services (such as our payment processors and shipping carriers). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them, and you should review their terms before engaging with them.
You may not use the Site or its content: for any unlawful purpose; to solicit others to perform unlawful acts; to violate any law or regulation; to infringe our intellectual property or that of others; to harass, abuse, defame, or discriminate against anyone on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; to submit false or misleading information; to upload viruses or malicious code; to collect or track others’ personal information; to spam, phish, scrape, or crawl; or to interfere with or circumvent the Site’s security features.
We may terminate your access to the Site for violating any of these restrictions.
We do not guarantee that your use of the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
Except where expressly stated by us or required by law, the Site and all products delivered through it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Unit and its owners, employees, contractors, suppliers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or replacement costs — arising from your use of the Site or any product purchased through it, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Unit and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, brought by a third party arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or us. You may terminate them at any time by ceasing to use the Site. We may terminate them, and deny you access to the Site, at any time if we believe you have failed to comply with them. Obligations and liabilities incurred before termination survive it.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the unenforceable portion will be severed. The remaining provisions stay in full effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Exchanges policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Family Unit regarding your use of the Site, and supersede any prior agreements or communications between us.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not waive that right or provision.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Family Unit (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit or buy from familyunit.shop, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
We are based in California, United States. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
Information you give us. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and (if you provide it) your phone number. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. If you contact us, we keep a record of that correspondence.
Payment information. We do not collect or store your full card details. When you pay by card, your card information is entered directly into a secure form provided by our payment processor, Stripe, and is transmitted to them — not to us. If you pay by PayPal, PayPal handles your payment details. We receive only limited information such as confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card. All card payments are processed in line with PCI-DSS security standards.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we automatically receive certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
We use your information to:
We use cookies — small files stored on your device — to make the Site work and to understand how it is used.
Essential cookies. WooCommerce, the software that runs our store, sets cookies that are necessary for the Site to function: they remember what is in your cart, keep your session active while you shop, and allow you to complete checkout. The Site cannot work properly without these.
Analytics. We use Jetpack / WordPress.com Stats to collect aggregate information about how visitors use the Site — such as page views and referring sites. This helps us understand what people are looking at and improve the store.
We share personal information only with the service providers we need in order to run the store, and only to the extent they need it to perform their services for us:
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your information, and we encourage you to read them.
We may also disclose your information if we are required to do so by law, to respond to a lawful request from public authorities, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
If our business is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that they can continue to operate the store.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.
We ship internationally, and our service providers may be located in countries other than yours — including the United States. This means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from those of your own country. By placing an order with us, you understand that your information will be handled this way.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (processing your order), with your consent (marketing emails), and for our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, improving the Site). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We keep order information for as long as necessary to fulfill your order, handle returns, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Newsletter subscribers’ email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Our site uses SSL/TLS encryption, and card payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, gives you the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at familyunitco@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding — typically by confirming information associated with your order, such as the email address you used. You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf.
California “Shine the Light.” California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Wherever you live, you can:
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the revised policy on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect when we last made changes. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
For questions about this policy, or to exercise any of your privacy rights, email us at familyunitco@gmail.com. Please use email rather than social media for privacy requests, so that we have a proper record of your request and can verify your identity.
